Quality course design ensures that desired learning outcomes are aligned with appropriate assessments and supported by effective learning activities. In this program, participants learn how to use the evidence-based backward-design process to create a new course or envision new ways to address challenges in courses currently taught.

Participants in the program learn about fundamental course design principles and apply them to the design of a new course or the partial or full redesign of an existing course.

This program is designed for STEM faculty and will be conducted in a "flipped-mode" format. Participants complete brief readings and select activities before the in-person sessions.  This creates time to work on their course designs as well as give and receive feedback during the sessions.
